Welcome

This being the first entry of my new blog, I don't think I have much of a choice except to say a few words of introduction.  In the first place, who would have thought it could be so easy to put your words before the world, for anyone, anywhere, to see?  A web log isn't a new idea to me, but I've never bothered to write one.  Over the past few years I have read many and participated from time to time, but I have never made one of my own.  Here it is!

Why this blog?  It's simple.  In the news, the world, etc. there are so many ideas flying around that it makes your head ache.  There are many people who affiliate with so many different positions politically, religiously, philosophically and I think that facts are so often lost in public discussion.  Yes, to many they are not lost, but yet we disagree so often.  Why? 

Granted, every person has a core moral/philosophical/religious foundation that drives how they think.  We are different, so we disagree.  More significantly, I think, factors such as limited knowledge, hype - this sort of regrettable thing - affect people's opinions.  I have made this blog so I can ask questions about, maybe (much more rarely) provide answers to many pressing issues being discussed.

That's that.  I will post again today so that there's something substantive on my blog.  

Hopefully sometimes something will be noticed, and I can live less frustrated at the world, knowing that someone else has at least had an opportunity to understand how I see things.
